The questions a review starts with
What does it replace, and what does it run beside?
It replaces a separate knowledge-base or help-centre search, a vector database with its embedding pipeline, and hand-kept test scripts for search quality: one account holds the documents, answers from them (in a Space, or in your product through the API) and checks them. It runs beside the places documents are written, such as Drive, Confluence, Notion or a helpdesk, and beside an office-suite assistant, which it does not replace.
Is our content used to train models?
No, on any plan.
Where do our documents live?
Stored and searched on our infrastructure, hosted on Google Cloud and RunPod, until you delete them. The files you upload are never edited; a fix changes the copy search reads, and every version is kept. Data residency options are on Enterprise.
Is it encrypted?
In transit with TLS 1.3 (1.2 minimum, older refused), and at rest with the hosting providers’ encryption.
Can we delete documents?
Any document, at any time. Deleting it removes its passages and vectors too.
Single sign-on?
Team plans include SSO and central billing and administration. Enterprise adds SAML SSO with SCIM provisioning, audit logs, role-based access, private networking and data residency options.
SOC 2 or ISO 27001?
No third-party certification today. If it is a hard requirement, tell us early and we will say plainly where it stands.
Can we sign a DPA?
Yes, negotiated per contract. There is no self-serve template yet.
Who can approve a fix, and is it recorded?
Only the collection’s owner. The emailed link opens to their sign-in, and every approval and change is kept in the collection’s version history with who and when, on every plan.
What keeps Voxell’s copy current?
A changed document is uploaded again under the same name, by hand or by a script through the API, and each upload is a new version that is checked as it arrives. Connectors that sync from Drive, Confluence or Notion do not exist yet. A fix changes the copy search reads and gives you the exact sentence to change in the original; the owner then tells Voxell the original is corrected, and the next upload confirms it.
Who can open a Space?
Nobody, until you share it. Then: anyone holding a link you can revoke, only people who sign in with an email on your company’s domain or on a named list (paid plans), or everyone.
Can documents stay on infrastructure we control?
Forge Local runs the same engine in your own AWS account, bought as an annual licence through an AWS Marketplace private offer. Ask us which of the checks on these pages it includes today.
Can we leave with our work?
Your originals were never moved or edited, and every document version, including the fixed ones, downloads through the API. Leaving costs you the scores, not your work.
Who processes your documents
| Google Cloud and RunPod (a GPU cloud) | Hosting: your documents, the search index and the scoring |
| Google Vertex AI (Gemini) | Writes answers and checks facts for consistency; receives the question and the passages it needs |
| Cloudflare | API gateway and network |
| Stripe | Payments only; no documents |
| Resend | Email notifications only; no documents |
| Google and GitHub | Sign-in only, if you choose to sign in with them |
We do not sell data, to these companies or anyone else. Your documents stay until you delete them. We also keep your account details, billing records through Stripe, and usage records: hourly detail for 90 days, daily totals after that. Send this page as the packet; Security & trust covers every Voxell product.
Who needs a seat, and what it costs
| Who | Seat | A month, billed yearly |
|---|---|---|
| People who score collections and run fixes | Premium | $80 |
| People who sign in to Voxell itself to ask across collections, or build with the API | Standard | $15 |
| Owners who approve fixes and certify test questions, from an emailed link | No seat | $0 |
| Anyone asking on an Ask page (a Space) you publish, staff or customers, however many | No seat; their answers draw on the team’s pooled usage | $0 |
| Anyone you send a report to, as a PDF or a read-only link | No seat | $0 |
| Your product calling the API | No seat; draws on the team’s pooled usage | $0 |
Team runs from 5 to 150 seats on one bill, with central administration. Usage pools across the team: each premium seat adds 50,000 answers a month and each standard seat 10,000. Paid monthly instead, seats are $100 and $20. Compare all plans →
There is no overage bill for answers. Seats are a fixed price. Past the pooled allowance, answers draw on credit you buy in advance: a $100 pack is about 80,000 more answers, and packs start at $25. You choose which way it fails. With automatic top-up off, the seat price is the whole bill for answers: they pause at the limit until the next month or the next pack. With it on, a pack is bought when the credit runs low, so nothing stops. Storage pools too: 25 GB for each premium seat and 5 GB for each standard seat; beyond that it is $0.50 per GB a month.
Enterprise
Everything in Team, plus the controls most security reviews ask for: SAML SSO with SCIM provisioning, audit logs and role-based access, data residency, private networking, a contractual SLA with a named support contact, and annual invoicing against a PO. Priced to your deployment and seat count; a quote comes back within one business day, and it can be bought on AWS Marketplace paper.
Before you send anything
Start with documents that are already public, such as help-centre articles: no data question to clear, and the conflicts it finds are the ones your customers can already see.
Free scan. One collection, up to 500 documents. Scored by the same system you would use, nobody edits your files, and they are deleted afterwards unless you sign up.
